there was some extra news today cause 2 soldiers died, well 2 marines...in Iraq. I always thought there wasnt much water that way, but clearly I was wrong. so they brought in an extra news report to say 2 guys drove over a mine. 132 Polish ppl dead? no extra news, 2 Dutch ppl dead...NEWS!! I think its weird Dutch ppl make such a big deal about it. if you join the army you know theres a big chamce something like that might happen. its not cruel or morbide its just the cold hard truth. mum said there doing it for the families. if you lost someone you care about you hardly bother to react on the news! what about the other ppl here dying? some ppl get killed here just as in the rest of the world, why now say that in the news? ppl who has to be in a weelchair or worse cause of violence. why now mention them? nono we mention the ppl who are in a line of work where you deal with great risks and know what those risks are. if your in the army you know it can only go 2 ways: right or wrong. but what if your on your way home from a 'normal' and get beaten half to death? dont those ppl deserve any attention? what about there families?...
Yeah, u´re very right, the risk of a soldier is to kill possibly - or possibly to get killed!

Daar erger ik me ook altijd aan, Zo ging het vorig jaar ook met Koninginnedag. Toen waren er ook doden en zwaargewonden in Appeldoorn. Waar maken ze zich druk om "de aanslag op koningklijke familie". A: hadden die nog geen schrammetje. B: is het niet eens zeker dat het een aanslag was.
