the book i'm reading now: schoolidyllen by Top Naeff (she's a she). it's a Dutch book from the year 1900! then it was only for kids (1 of the girls get's realy sick and dies... ah, the good old days) it's about 5 girl's: Jet: she's a sweet girl who's parents have died and her uncle takes care of her cause she got money. Jeanne: a girl who only cares about her looks and cries for everything. Noes & Lien: 2 sisters who have a lower status then the other girls, Noes is okay with that but Lien tries to do anything to make sure others think there rich. Maud: a Dutch/American girl who stands up for what she believes in, even if that get's her in lot's of problems.
when I started to read I was surprised, it was my mums old version of the book and it's written like.. someone who would live many years ago. but it didn't take a lot of getting used too. it's an real easy read. it's meant as a kid's book, well.. was back then. now it would be... all ages I guess. at some point it got a little boring forabout 2/3 pages but I passed that and now im back on track. im almost done with it and even tho I didn't cry.. its a very funny, dramatic book with some good lesson's in it and 5 girls that will steal your heart.
